Dear Mr. Boucher,
Thank you for your
response to my earlier emails expressing my opposition to the proposed pipeline
through Floyd County. Although it appears that you are addressing my concerns
and have forwarded my letter to Dominion, I am concerned that you are not doing
what the citizens of Virginia are requesting.
The rhetoric your
letter contains actually sounds like you have accepted that the pipeline will
go through Floyd and that Dominion should do as little damage as possible. The
paragraph about the Floyd County School Board’s desire to be equipped with the
best technology available through Dominion sounds like a bribe and I am not at
all sure that the Board has expressed their acceptance of the proposed
pipeline.
Mr. Boucher, you are
being asked, as the representative of the 9th district, to go on
record opposing the proposed pipeline through Floyd. No fancy talk, just say
NO.
Thank you for your
time and I do expect you to represent the wishes of your constituents, not the
priorities of a large corporation. There is absolutely no benefit to the
citizens having this pipeline forced through Virginia.
